Greenwich Police Investigate 'Suspicious Incident' Involving Child
A boy reported a man approached him and asked if he wanted a ride.

GREENWICH, CT - Greenwich Police are investigating a suspicious incident involving a 13-year-old boy who reported that as he walked along a Riverside street he was approached by a man who offered him a ride.
In a statement released Tuesday morning, police said the incident occurred during the late afternoon of March 1, as the boy walked on Riverside Avenue.
"A black Jeep type vehicle stopped in front of him. A male exited and asked him if he wanted a ride. The youth stated he did not, and when the male began walking towards him the 13-year-old child ran home," according to police.

The driver of the Jeep was described as a white male, in his 30s, approximately five-feet-nine inches tall, with black hair and clean shaven.
Police said the vehicle is described as a “Jeep,” unknown model with a hard top.
Greenwich Police are advising parents to "Please be watchful and remind your children never to approach a stranger's car and to promptly report any suspicious activity to a guardian or the police."
