We all know students who excel in academics, fine arts or volunteer service. Here's one local resident who is having an impact in Greenwich.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

How do you know the star local student?

Father

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

Kieran has over come tremendous obstacles since birth to fully participate in grades k-12 and now a post high school program in our town called Community Connections. He also works locally as part of this program and participates in programs such as Unified Sports and Special Olympics winning several Gold Medals. In addition Kieran interns with, and is a spokesman for thru videos, Kibu, a company built to serve the special needs community.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

Kieran believes he has no deficits despite having a stroke at birth. This approach and attitude has served him well and helped him learn and grow with both his special needs peers as well as the typical peer community. He also has a very outgoing personality, warm smile and is known throughout town.

Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Kieran!
