Ivo Brillo, 88, Italian Army Veteran

Ivo L. Brillo, age 88, of Siesta Key, FL and former longtime Greenwich resident, died peacefully at the home of his daughter and son-in-law on Wednesday, Aug. 1, surrounded by his loving family.

He was the husband of the late Elizabeth A. Garrone Brillo.

Ivo was born in Rome, Italy, on Oct. 21, 1923, son of the late Gualtiero and Sofia Cardemone Brillo. Ivo had an extensive history with Ferrari. In 1958 he became the general manager of Chinetti Motors Inc., distributors for Ferrari. He was also the Director of N.A.R.T. until circa 1974. He also served in the Italian Army.

Survivors include a son, Walter L. Brillo and his wife Ekatarine of Stamford; his daughter Aurelia S. Gilbert and her husband Jay of Norwalk and 2 grandchildren, Luca and Nicholas Brillo. He was predeceased by his daughter Sofia D. Brillo and 3 sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM, Saturday, Aug. 4, at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 4 Riverside Ave., Riverside, with burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. For directions or to sign an online guest book, please go to magnerfuneralhome.com
