In Memoriam: Ann O. Jambriska

The lifelong Greenwich resident passed away March 1 at the age of 94.

Ann O. Jambriska passed away on March 1, 2016 at her home in Greenwich.

She was born on April 11, 1921 to Henry Sopoci and Suzan Dianis Sopoci in Greenwich.

Ann graduated from Greenwich High School and was a lifelong Greenwich resident.

On April 25, 1942 she married Joseph Jambriska. They enjoyed 62 years of marriage before his death on December 27, 2006.

Ann was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Byram and enjoyed her time volunteering at the church. She had a love for flowers and worked at Trepp’s Flowers for many years. Ann will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, and friend who loved to help others.

Ann is survived by her son Joseph and his wife Marilou of Bridgeport. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister Olga MacDonald and brother-in-law Donald, and her brother William G. Sopoci.

A special thanks to her loving friends Rosemarie Nasr, the Trepp family, the Ingraham family, her caregiver and companion Needra Bethel and her many other friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday March 6, from 4 to 8 P.M. at the Castiglione Funeral Home, 544 Old Post Rd #3, Greenwich. Service will be held on Monday March 7, 2016 at 10 A.M. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 286 Delevan Ave., Greenwich. Interment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery, 215 North St., Rye, NY.
