In Memoriam: Antonio E. Chiappetta
The retired Town of Greenwich employee passed away Jan. 16 at the age of 77.

Antonio E. Chiappetta, 77, of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Greenwich Hospital.
He was born on October 22, 1938 in Rose Calabria, Italy to the late Domenico and Rosaria Infante Chiappetta.

Antonio was a stone mason for 29 years for the Town of Greenwich before retiring in 1998.
He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Dolis Chiappetta of Stamford, his loving children Marisa Mancini of Danbury, Domenico Chiappetta of Norwalk and Lorenzo Chiappetta of Bethel, as well as one stepdaughter Dolly Lozada of Canada, three stepsons, Walter and Nelson Munoz of Stamford, Alexander Munoz of Columbia and one brother Franco Chiappetta of Canada, including 12 grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Antonio was predeceased by one brother and four sisters.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford on Wednesday, January 20, at 11:00 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:30 AM at Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph’s Mausoleum, Putnam Cemetery, Greenwich.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday morning, January 20, from 9 to 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Antonio’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook Street, I91 Tech Ctr., Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
