In Memoriam: Joan M. Carlo

Joan M. Carlo of Greenwich passed away Sunday, January 10th surrounded by her family, after a long illness. She celebrated her 81st birthday on Christmas Eve.

Joan was born December 24, 1934 in Sassari, Sardinia to Cosimo and Chiarina Paddeu.

She worked for many years in the dining hall at Greenwich Country Day.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Anthony “Sonny”.

She is survived by her loving children Mary Ann Hohl (Fritz), Linda Conti (Richard), son Peter, and Sandra Spezzano (John). Joan is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Stephen and Ryan Hohl and Kathleen, Dennis, and Joseph Spezzano.

Joan was a Eucharistic Minister at Saint Roch’s Church and a member of the Saint Catherine Seniors.

To honor Joan’s life, family and friends will gather at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Ave., Greenwich, on Wednesday 4-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday 10 am at St. Roch’s R.C. Church, following by internment at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
