In Memoriam: Stanley Masna

The Greenwich resident passed away March 11 at the age of 93.

Stanley Masna passed away on March 11, 2016.

He was born on October 13, 1922.

Stanley graduated from Greenwich High School in 1940. He worked 44 years for Electrolux in Old Greenwich, he also was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He served as an usher at Sacred Heart Church in Byram. He served during World War II for three years, stationed in Italy and North Africa. Stan has a zest for life and a passion for golf and of course his yard work.

He was predeceased by his wife Olive, his sister Mary Carlson, his brothers Michael and John Masna, and his son-in-law Vito Matturro.

He is survived by his daughters Pamela Matturro, Robin Daher (Mike), his son John Masna (Patti), and grandchildren Melissa Bertolf (Gus), Donald Matturro (Merritt), Matt Daher, Patrick Daher (Nikki), and two great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be on Monday, March 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Castiglione Funeral Home, 544 Old Post Road #3, Greenwich. A Mass will be on Monday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Interment will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Rye Brook, NY.
