For Greenwich residents who want to participate in the upcoming presidential primaries, there is still time to register with a party.
To vote in the Democratic primary, you must be registered as a Democrat. Likewise, to vote in the Republican Primary, you must be registered as a Republican.
To check your status, check online at www.greenwichct.org/vote. Click on the “Check to see if I am registered” link.

To change your party, your address, or to register to vote, click on the “How to Register to Vote” link.
The deadline for an elector to change from one party to another and be eligible to vote in the new parties’ primary is Jan. 26, according to the Greenwich Registrars of Voters.

If you are registered as an unaffiliated voter (not registered with any party) the deadline to change to a party by mail is April 21. Mail in applications must be received by this date. Deadline to register in person is noon April 25.
New voters registering by mail must make sure mail is postmarked by April 21.
The Presidential Preference Primary Day is April 26.
