Results Revealed In 2025 Greenwich Republican BET Primary
Here are the unofficial vote totals from Tuesday's primary between Republican Board of Estimate and Taxation candidates.

GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich Republican voters hit the polls on Tuesday for a primary between Board of Estimate and Taxation members.
Six Republicans successfully petitioned to force a primary against six candidates who were endorsed by the Greenwich Republican Town Committee this summer.
Here are the unofficial vote totals from Tuesday's primary, with the top six advancing to the municipal ballot in November. Asterisks denote party-endorsed candidates:

The top six Republicans and the Democratic slate of Elliot Alchek, Matt DesChamps, Laura Erickson, Doug Fenton, Stephen Selbst and David Weisbrod are all guaranteed spots on the 12-person finance board which is split evenly between the two parties.
Whichever party receives the most votes during the Nov. 4 municipal election will elect a chair. The chair holds the powerful tie-breaking vote, which is often used during budget deliberations.

Greenwich Republicans have controlled the BET since 2019.
The town website notes the BET is responsible for "the proper administration of the financial affairs of the town including the issuance of the annual recommended budget and setting the town tax mill rate. The board also acts on requests for additional appropriations, transfers and allotments made during the fiscal year."
According to the Greenwich Registrars Office, 1,074 voters out of 11,454 eligible voters participated in the primary, good for a 9.38 percent turnout rate.
