Rolex Reported Stolen from Car in a Greenwich Park

The owner reported the pricey timepiece was swiped while they were visiting the park this week.

GREENWICH, CT - A resident who visited Greenwich Point Park in Old Greenwich this week left their vehicle unlocked.

And thieves pawing through the 2011 Range Rover found a Rolex watch in the vehicle's center console, according to Greenwich Police spokesman Lt. Kraig Gray. The theft was reported at 5:25 p.m. March 16.

The watch was valued at more than $10,000.

Police also are investigating the theft of credit card which was used to make a number of purchases. The resident of a Maple Avenue home reported the theft about 9:15 p.m. March 16.
