Teen Arrested After Greenwich HS Teacher is Threatened
The teen is accused of telling friends the teacher "needs to die," according to Greenwich Police.
An 18-year-old Greenwich High School student was arrested on a second-degree breach of peace charge after he allegedly wrote to friends “about plans to ‘jump’ his teacher and that she ‘needs to die,’” according to Greenwich Police.
The alleged threats were uncovered when the teacher confiscated the student’s cell phone for texting while in class on Tuesday, according to a Greenwich Police report.
The “victim saw her name on the screen of the phone and opened up the messages” and found that the suspect “had written to unknown friends about plans to ‘jump’ his teacher and that she ‘needs to die.’ … the victim became afraid and contacted the school Student Resource Officer,” according to the report.
