Woman Faces Charges Following Attack on Elderly Greenwich Resident

An argument turned physical while the victim was holding a child, according to police.

A Greenwich woman is facing assault and risk of injury charges following an assault on an elderly woman last month.

Greenwich Police obtained an arrest warrant of the suspect who is accused of arguing with the victim, who is older than 60, and attacking the victim as they held a child, according to a police report. The incident occurred on River Road on Jan. 21.

On Feb. 2, police arrested Jacqueline V. Ingram, of Old Field Point Road, Greenwich, on charges of risk of injury to a minor, assault on a person older than 60, first-degree reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.

Ingram was held in lieu of $50,000 bond and arraigned in state Superior Court in Stamford on Feb. 3. Ingram’s bond was reduced to $2,500 and she was released pending a March 15 court date, according to the Connecticut Judicial Branch website.

The victim who suffered shoulder pain after the attack did not require medical attention, according to police.
