Groton Accepting Job Applications for Police Officers

The deadline to apply is Jan. 22, 2016.

The city of Groton is accepting applications for full time police officers in the Police Department. The candidate must be 21-years of age or older on the date of the appointment, have no criminal record and be a high school graduate or its equivalent.

Candidates must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator’s license and an excellent driving record, as a condition of employment.

Interested persons must have completed the examination process with the Law Enforcement Council within the past year, to be considered. For details, visit the Law Enforcement Council website.

Candidates must be registered with the Police App website.

To download an application, visit the City of Groton website. Applications must be signed and postmarked prior to 4 p.m. Jan. 22 and submitted to the HR Director, 295 Meridian St., Groton, CT 06340.

Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. The City of Groton reserves the right to extend the closing date for the submission of applications without additional notice or to re-advertise for the position.
