Groton Police Arrest Man on Various Heroin Charges

A 42-year-old Groton man was arrested after an investigation into the sale of cocaine within southeastern Connecticut.

The Groton Town Police, with assistance from the Regional Community Enhancement Task Force, arrested a Groton man as part of the initiative to combat the heroin and drug epidemic in the area.

Kevin M. Hurley, 42 , of 600 Meridian St. Extension, Apt 718, was charged with the following:

  • Possession of Cocaine
  • Possession of Cocaine With Intent to Sell Over 1 oz.
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Hurley was placed under arrest in Groton after an investigation into the sale of cocaine within southeastern Connecticut. Seized during this investigation was more than 1.5 ounces of cocaine packaged for sale, cash and a cell phone.

The task force is comprised of detectives and officers from southeastern Connecticut, formed to combat the heroin epidemic and improve the quality of life for citizens.
