'Large Amount of Heroin' Seized From Norwich Residence
Local police forces assisted the FBI in the search and seizure operation that resulted in the arrest of one man.
A federal search and seizure warrant was served the morning of Wednesday, March 16, at 229 Boswell Ave., #9, in Norwich.
According to the Town of Groton Police Department, members of the Norwich Police Department, Waterford Police Department and the Regional Community Enhancement Task Force assisted members of the FBI in serving the warrant.
One arrest was made. Norwich resident Ramel Artis, 34, of the above address, was allegedly found to be in possession of a large amount of heroin, Groton Police said. He was presented in Federal Court in Hartford and will be detained.
