Missing Man Found Dead: Groton Police
The man had disappeared in April, according to police.
GROTON, CT — A 73-year-old man who disappeared last month has been found deceased, according to police.
William Doak was located late Monday afternoon, police announced Tuesday on the department’s Facebook page.
“Unfortunately, Mr. Doak was deceased at the time he was found,” police said. “The City of Groton Police Department wishes to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Mr. William Doak.”

Foul play is not suspected, according to investigators.
Local and state police, including K-9 units, conducted multiple searches for Doak over the past couple of weeks, police said.

In April, police had circulated Doak’s photograph and description, seeking information on his whereabouts.
