Photos Of Armed Bank Robbery Suspect In Groton Released By Police

The man was given cash from two separate tellers before exiting the bank, police said.

GROTON, CT — Police are searching for an armed bank robbery suspect.

At 3:11 p.m. Wednesday, a white man wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and tan colored boots (believed to be Herman Survivor brand) entered the M&T Bank, 654 Long Hill Road, Groton, police said.

He wore a dark mask covering his face and used a dark cloth material to cover his right hand. A wedding style band was seen on the suspect’s left ring finger, police said.

The suspect gave a note, written on an envelope, to a bank teller. The note demanded money and informed the teller that the suspect had a gun, police said.

The man showed a dark-colored, semiautomatic style handgun. Police said the weapon was not recovered.

The man was given cash from two separate tellers before exiting the bank. The suspect was last seen fleeing on foot, police said.

At this time, no vehicles have been associated with the suspect. A K9 track led to the rear of Planet Fitness, where it was terminated.
