Primary Election For Judge Of Probate Is Tuesday

Six Candidates Are Vying For Seat

Primaries will be held Tuesday for the six Democratic and Republican candidates seeking to become the next Judge of Probate for the Southeastern Connecticut Regional Probate Court.

The newly regionalized court, located in Groton, will serve the towns of Stonington, Groton, North Stonington and Ledyard. The court handles matters including adoptions, wills, estates, gaurdianship, and commitment of adults and children with psychiatric disabilities.

Democrats Ellin Grenger of Ledyard, Nicholas Kepple of Stonington, Edward E. Moukawsher of Groton and Peter Rotella of Stonington, Republican candidates Dean G. Antipas of Mystic and Eric Janney of Stonington are running for the office.

Groton has eight polling places. Locations are listed below:

1.  Groton Public Library, Route 117.

2. West Side Middle School, 250 Brandegee Avenue.

3.  City municipal building, 295 Meridian Street.

4. William Seely School, 55 Seely School Drive.

5.  Charles Barnum Elementary School, 68 Briar Hill Road.

6.  School Administration Building, 1300 Flanders Road.

7.  S.B. Butler School, 155 Ocean View Avenue.

8.  Town Hall Annex, 134 Groton Long Point Road.
