Rental Rebate Program Scaled Back in Groton
The state assistance program for disabled and elderly renters is being downsized.

Elderly and disabled renters in Groton with low-incomes may have a harder time finding financial assistance as the state cuts back on its rental rebate program, The Day reports.
According to The Day article, the state's program provided an average of $470 in assistance to almost 600 Groton residents last year. Those who received assistance last year are automatically eligible for the program this year, but new applicants will be turned away, The Day said.
