Groton has more than 20 vacancies on its various volunteer boards and commissions, according to a list compiled recently and posted at the town clerk's office.
To apply, contact the town clerk at (860) 441-6640, or pick up an application at 45 Fort Hill Road. The town council is seeking applicants for these volunteer positions:
- Board of Assessment Appeals: 3 alternates
- Community Development Advisory Committee: 1 regular member, 2 alternates
- Conservation Commission: 3 members
- Economic Development Commission: 2 members
- Fair Rent Commission: 1 regular member, 2 alternates
- Historic District Commission: 1 regular member, 1 alternate
- Housing Authority: 1 member
- Inland Wetlands Agency: 1 alternate
- Library Board: 1 member
- Neighborhood Revitalization Zone: 3 members
- Planning Commission: 1 member
- Water Pollution Control Authority: 1 member
- Zoning Board of Appeals: 2 alternates
- Zoning Commission: 1 alternate
