'What Month Are We In?'
The National Weather Service issues a high wind warning and winter weather advisory for Groton.
The National Weather Service predicted 4 to 8 inches of snow tonight, but early Saturday evening business went on as usual.
"What month are we in?" said Taylor Harnish, 19, of Groton, as a volunteer swept the walk in front of Bill Memorial Library.
"This is not fair," added Dominique Chojnowski, 16.

The haunted library fundraiser was scheduled from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and would go on as planned, said Josh Hayslip, as he cleaned the sidewalk. He expected a good turnout despite the weather.

Tonight: Snow before 9 p.m., then rain and snow between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m., then snow after 11 p.m. The snow could be heavy at times. Some thunder is also possible. Low around 29. Windy, with a north wind between 26 and 31 mph, with gusts as high as 65 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches possible.
Sunday: Snow, mainly before 9 a.m. High near 44. Windy, with a north wind between 22 and 26 mph, with gusts as high as 44 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Sunday Night: Clear, with a low around 31. North wind between 5 and 13 mph.
Monday: Increasing clouds, with a high near 47. North wind at 9 mph becoming southeast.
Monday Night: A slight chance of rain after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 41. Breezy, with a north wind 22 to 25 mph decreasing to between 10 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
