More Than $50,000 Raised For Guilford Man With Brain Cancer
The owner of Guilford's Jerry Transmission Service has non-curable brain cancer; family holding fundraiser to pay bills

GUILFORD, CT — An event for a Guilford man fighting brain cancer has raised more than $50,000 as of Sarurday morning. Hundreds have donated.
The fundraiser will be held at Thimble Island Brewery in Branford. The overall fundraising goal is $60,000.

“For those who know Paul Dostie, he is fiercely loyal to his family, friends and community. As a lifetime resident and owner of Jerry’s Transmission he has touched so many of you in so many ways!
“Recently diagnosed with Grade 4 Glioblastoma, an aggressive and non-curable brain cancer, the financial strain on his business and medical bills will be daunting.

“To ease this burden for the family, a FIGHT the open house fundraiser has been scheduled on November 16th from 4-10 p.m. at Thimble Island Brewery. There will be live music, food, silent auction, raffles and of course beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages.
“Please stop by to support this amazing man and his family as he embarks on the journey to do everything he can to beat this terrible disease.
“Tickets include: 1 FREE beer + a Pulled Pork Sandwich or a Pizza Ticket
