Multiple Roads Impacted With Downed Trees And Wires, Guilford Police Say
Police said cars were struck by trees and wires. There are several closures in place around town.
GUILFORD, CT — Several roads in Guilford have been impacted Friday by downed trees and wires, according to police.
The following roads/areas are closed as of Friday, 1 p..m.:
- Leetes Island at Moose Hill to the Branford Line
- 135 Murray Lane
- Little Meadow between Stepstone and Lantern Hill
- 183 Glenwood Road
- 25 Milford Road
- Woodworth Road
Police said multiple roads have trees and wires down, but have passable lanes.

"Please drive with caution. If a wire lands on your car, do not get out until the emergency responders tell you it is safe," police said in a Facebook post. "Several cars were struck by trees and wires but thankfully no injuries were reported. Do not move cones or tape blocking the road, it is for your safety and the safety of others. Please call us if you see a downed wire or blocked road without cones or tape. Assume all wires are live."
Police said they will post updates as roads are cleared or closed.
