Annual Patriotic Lasagna Dinner Upcoming In Guilford: Details

The dinner has been renamed in honor of Ron DeMartino, a longtime volunteer for Guilford Interfaith Volunteers and an Air Force veteran.

GUILFORD, CT — The Ron DeMartino Patriotic Lasagna Dinner to benefit Meals on Wheels in Guilford will take place on Veterans Day, Tuesday, Nov. 11, at the Community Center.

The event, now in its 24th year, was renamed after DeMartino, who was a longtime volunteer for Guilford Interfaith Volunteers, both as a board member and a driver for Meals on Wheels. He was also an Air Force veteran.

DeMartino died on Aug. 13, 2025, at the age of 86.

Larry Santamaria's famous vegetable or meat lasagna will be offered up once again, along with salad, bread and dessert.

The price is $22 for adults, $20 for seniors, and veterans eat free with a reservation. The Ethan Miller Song Foundation is donating the veteran meals. Reservations must be made by Wednesday, Nov. 5.

The sit-down meal will take place from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., but there is also a takeout option from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

To order a meal, call the Guilford Interfaith Volunteer office at 203-453-8359, Monday through Friday, between 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. by Nov. 5.
