Another Continuation in Guilford High's Artificial Turf Debate

The debate over the artificial turf field continues in Guilford.

Guilford, CT - And the debate goes on.

It looks like the town's discussion of an artificial turf field at Guilford High School isn't over yet.

On June 14, officials opted to continue the discussion on the proposed field, according to The Guilford Courier. The Guilford High School Building Committee put a decision on hold due to requests made by community members, The Courier reports.

Four options for the field are on the table, and those include "artificial turf with crumb rubber infill, artificial turf with coated crumb rubber infill, artificial turf with coated sand infill (“Enviro-fill”), and natural grass," GHSBC Communications Chair Mary Beeman told The Courier.

Since approval in December 2015, the town has been discussing the installation of an artificial turf field at the new Guilford High School.
