Audition For Stand Up & Speak Out The Musical On Saturday, Sunday

Stand UP & Speak Out The Musical tells the story of Stephanie, a girl who is relentlessly bullied at her high school.

GUILFORD, CT – Two creative forces are coming together to bring Connecticut and beyond a life-changing original production, Stand Up & Speak Out The Musical.

Tracy Tolisano, owner and artistic director of Limelight Dance Studio, and Jill Nesi, creator of Stand Up & Speak Out The Musical, are working together to create a chain reaction of kindness through music, movement and the arts.

“After a pandemic-inspired hiatus, we were excited to return to the theater with this live production showcasing inspiring songs and a dialogue addressing the topic of bullying and how kindness, empathy and acceptance can counteract poor behaviors,” Nesi said.

Stand UP & Speak Out The Musical tells the story of Stephanie, a girl who is relentlessly bullied at her high school. She is visited in her dream by her older friend Ian. Sadly, Ian also suffered from horrific bullying with tragic consequences.

With a debut in both school and public shows at the Katherine Hepburn Central Arts Center in May and June of 2023 to sold-out audiences, the goal of the musical is to get both students of all ages and adults to recognize these situations and become “Up Standers” that Speak Up, Speak Out and Stop Bullying.
