Beverly Schirmeier Guilford Library Meeting Room Artist for the Month of December
Pastel and Oil Paintings by Beverly Schirmeier in The Guilford Library Meeting Room throughout December
The artist for the month of December at the Guilford Free Library is Westbrook Artist, Beverly Schirmeier. Beverly will be showcasing her oil and pastel paintings, Searching For Light, from December 1- 30th at the Guilford Free Library at 67 Park Street, Guilford, Ct 06437. The exhibit is open to public during normal library hour All artwork is for sale.
Beverly Schirmeier holds Elected Artist memberships in the Lyme Art Association, Guilford Art League, Essex Art Association, Academic Artist Association, Ct Pastel Society, Madison and Clinton Art Societies. She is the former President of the Madison Art Society where she served for the eleven years as well as the Secretary, Vice President and President of the Lyme Art Association. She has been involved in the arts for over 50 years. She has a BFA from Wayne State University and after retiring from SNET she became an alumnus of The Lyme Academy College of Fine Art and has studied painting in workshops with numerous nationally known artists.
Schirmeier’s artwork has been exhibited in galleries, public buildings, and in collaboration with other artists and in solo shows. She says she loves capturing the light in plein air paintings done on location and still life subjects. Her paintings, created in both oil and in pastels, reside in numerous collections and can be seen in regional art club shows and various other venues
