Report: Attorney Who Testified at 'Gifting Table' Trials Recommended to Judgeship
The Hartford Courant is reporting that Braford's Shelley Marcus, who testified at the 'Gifting Table' trials, passed her confirmation hearing and was recommended to an appointment as a Superior Court judge.

According to The Hartford Courant, a state legislative Judiciary Committee voted on Friday to recommend Branford Attorney Shelley Marcus to the appointment of Superior Court judge. They report that the committee voted to "recommend confirmation of Marcus by the state House and Senate by a 28-12 vote."
The Attorney recently testified in the 'gifting tables' trials that involved two Guilford women, Donna Bello and Jill Platt. Both were found guilty on all counts last months. She testified during those trials that she never told members of the 'tables' that the club was legal.
