Budget Fails Again in Guilford

GUILFORD--For the second time, voters failed to pass a budget for the town of Guilford.

Officials said signs around town promoted incorrect budget information and contributed to the budget vote failing, according to The Guilford Atticus.

Signs said a tax hike under the proposed budget was five percent but in reality it was under three percent, according to the report.

The town now will go back to the budget and make additional cuts before a third vote takes place.
