A fun award-winning musical based on the adored movie, "Legally Blonde The Musical" follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. Action-packed with memorable songs and dynamic dances.
"I have been blown away by the enthusiastic response this show has gotten at GHS. We have a cast of 53; a technical crew of over 150 and a pit orchestra of 30, with many students being first-time participants in theatre," said GHS Theatre Arts Director Cara Mulqueen-Teasdale, in a news release.
"At first blush, it seems to be a 'girl musical' yet the show is really a 'people musical' in which its characters celebrate who they are, strive to be the best people they can be and learn that amazing people come in all sorts of packages," Mulqueen-Teasdale added. "One of the things I love most about this show is that it never tries to argue, 'believe it or not, girly girls can be smart!' Instead, it asks us to consider why anyone would ever think they couldn't be."
Tickets are available online here or at Guilford Community Center, 32 Church St. (credit cards only, all tickets are digital.)
