Downed Tree Snags Power Line, Durham Road Closed by Lake Quonnipaug
Guilford Police ask that motorists avoid the area and use Lake Drive or Great Hill Road as alternate routes and adhere to the 25-MPH limit.

GUILFORD, CT — Police have closed Durham Road by Lake Quonnipaug after a tree fell and snagged power lines. Guilford police except the road closure to last a "few hours."
Police posted to Facebook that road-closed signs will be placed at the south end of the entrance to Lake Drive, and the north entrance to Lake Drive.
Police ask that motorists avoid the area and use Lake Drive or Great Hill Road as alternate routes. Police stress that the 25-MPH speed limit will be "strictly enforced."
