'Finding Nemo' Swims into Guilford

'Finding Nemo' found his way into Guilford's A.W. Cox Elementary School recently, with a stellar performance by the school's Drama Club. The performance stuck to the original storyline, and added some song and dance into the mix. 

The play featured second, third and fourth graders, with fourth grader Anthony Ippolito playing the title character of Nemo and Spencer Opatrny, another fourth grader, playing Marlin. The well loved role of Dorey was played by both Madeleine Merkle-Ward in the first half, and Brynn Leslie in the second half. 

School Principal Vince Agostine made a special appearance as a fisherman towards the conclusion of the play. His appearance was met with many surprised faces by students in the audience and loud applause. 

Every performance can only have so many lead roles, but everyone was a standout in this play. Congratulations to all of the performers on a job well done:
