Guilford Announces New Finance Director
The new director will start at the end of October.

GUILFORD, CT – First Selectman Joseph Mazza announces that Maryjane Malavasi has been appointed the new Finance Director for the Town of Guilford.
The Board of Selectmen officially appointed Malavasi at its special meeting August 29, 2016. She is replacing Sheila Villano, whose retirement is effective September 10. Malavasi will begin her position on Monday, October 24. During the interim period, Linda Savitsky will continue to direct the day to day operations of the Finance Department.
Malavasi is currently the Finance Director for the Town of Durham, a position she has held since 2006. From 1991 through 2006 she served as the Finance Director for the Town of East Haddam.

Malavasi has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Administration from Charter Oak State College in New Britain and a Master of Public Administration Degree from Post University in Waterbury. The Town of Guilford looks forward to working with Malavasi, officials said in a news release Tuesday.
