Guilford Chamber Presents Wellness Fair September 8

The following is a press release from the Guilford Chamber of Commerce: 

On September 8, 2013 the Guilford Chamber of Commerce will hold its second annual Guilford Wellness Fair event on the town green. The event will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., providing an organized and educational environment for all ages to engage in healthy living activities.The theme of the fair is to promote healthy living behavior, and will start participants on the right track with a Kids Fun Run around the green, which will be broken up into three different age groupings. Similarly, there will be a Senior Stroll Division, incorporating a walking tour of the downtown area.

There will be demonstrations of healthy activities and an opportunity to enroll in the bone marrow registry.  Local Chef, Claire Criscuolo, will be on hand to speak about healthy eating and will autograph her most recent book.  Many chamber members will be on hand to discuss their healthy products and services.  Visitors can learn about chiropractic alternatives, eastern medicine, meditation, elder services and other health-oriented business services.

This event is sponsored by the Guilford Chamber of Commerce's Wellness Committee.  The mission of the committee is to provide wellness education to the residents of Guilford and to build a forum for members of the healthcare field to share ideas and get assistance with questions that cross cut the entire industry.
