Guilford Cops Are Called to Town Hall And Find...1st Selectman

A dispatcher called police when they heard footsteps in Town Hall; turned out the footsteps belonged to Guilford's first selectman.

GUILFORD, CT - When a dispatcher heard footsteps in Guilford Town Hall on Sunday, May 13th, the person got nervous and called the Guilford Police Department.

According to the Guilford police log the person “heard footsteps in Town Hall interior near finance office.”

Since the person who called police said they “hadn’t let anyone in” they wanted police to check that the Town Hall was safe.

So police did come - and found First Selectman Matt Hoey - who was in his office catching up on some paperwork, police said, after Sunday church services.
