Guilford Democrats Field No First Selectman Candidate
The move means that incumbent Joseph Mazza will run without an opponent from the town's other major political party this November.

Thursday night, at their caucus, the Guilford Democratic Town Committee did not nominate anyone for First Selectman, leaving Republican Joseph Mazza to run unopposed.
Earlier this month, Mazza announced he would seek reelection this November, and now he will not face an opponent from the town's other prominent political party. However, The Day reports that the Guilford Democratic Town Committee nominated several other candidates for other boards in town.
