Guilford Fire Department Reports 411 Calls in February 2013

On their website, Guilford Fire Department reports they received 411 calls during the month of February, including almost 200 Rescue and Emergency Medical Calls.

 

On their new website, Guilford Fire Department is reporting their incident totals for each month, starting in January of 2013. During the month of February, the Department responded to almost 200 Rescue and Emergency Medical Calls, and 17 fires. 

Their responses also included those for Hazardous conditions, service calls, and good intent calls. The Department also noted 34 false alarms and false calls. They also responded to 165 calls during blizzard and storm recovery, which spanned four days. Their total calls for the month reached 411.

The breakdown of calls on their website is as follows:

  • Fires 17
  • Rescue and Emergency Medical Calls 195
  • Hazardous Conditions 29
  • Service calls 101
  • Good Intent Calls 34
  • False Alarms and False Calls 34
  • Severe Weather and Natural Calls 1

Recently, the Fire Department also participated in a Shave-off to raise donations for St. Baldrick's Foundation.
