Guilford Firefighters To Take New Training Course
The training is through a new FEMA grant.

Guilford, CT - Guilford firefighters will be taking part in some new training thanks to a $100K grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
According to The Guilford Courier, the $112,568 grant will allow the local fire department to beef up structural collapse and rescue training.
The FEMA-developed course is part of the FEMA Assistance to Firefighters Grant for Operations and Safety program, according to The Courier.

The town officially accepted the grant at a selectmen's meeting on August 1, The Courier reports, and the town will be responsible for matching 10 percent of the grant.
