    June 25, 2013 GHSBC Meeting

    • Discussed Deduct Alternates

    • Additional access to east side of new GHS required by Fire Marshall

    • CM reported Bid Opening July 9 with additional packages due July 11

    • Good news from SCG. They will pay for moving gas line.

    • Dropping trees to make room for shed, grading, setting mafia blocks

  • Temporary power OK to Construction Trailer

  • New CM Superintendent: Jeff Schull

  • GHSBC Change Order Subcommittee Chair – Larry Marcik

  • Upcoming GHSBC Meetings:

    • 2nd Tuesdays– Workshop Meetings (no public comment)


    4th Tuesdays – Full meeting with Public Comment

     July 9, 2013 GHSBC Meeting

    • FF&E Summary Interim report reviewed and discussed. GPS to review.

    • Richards Corp awarded Site Contract

    • Additional Bids to be awarded July 16

  • Gas line move completed

  • Test-Con recommended to BOS as special inspections and construction materials testing services for the new GHS.

    July 20, 2013 GHSBC Communications Subcommittee meeting with Neighbors @ GHS Library

    • Reviewed status of project and what to expect in the future

    July 23, 2013 GHSBC Meeting

    • CM reports overall good bid spread; good representation; pleased with results

    • Started scoping in earnest with earlier bidders

    • Mobilize site contractor July 29

    • Upcoming Meetings every Tuesday in August –including conference call capability -- @ Selectmen’s Office

    • Neighborhood Meeting Report – discussed pre-blast surveys; three week look-ahead

  • FF&E list – report on meeting between Dr. Freeman and Mr. Misenti.

    August 20, 2013 GHSBC Meeting

    • Conforming Construction Document approved

    • Awarded additional trade bids

    • Additional follow up re: Pre-blast surveys. Window of opportunity now closed.

  • Walk through last week with Fire Chief and Building Officials re: temporary parking at GHS

  • September 10 – Workshop meeting to discuss Black Box options

  • September 14 – Neighbor meeting @ GHS Library

    August 27, 2013 GHSBC Meeting

    • GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price) approved
