Guilford Man Wins MVP In Professional Ultimate Frisbee League

Thanks to an impressive season where he scored 24 goals and assisted on another 32, Guilford's Chris Mazur has been named the MVP of Major League Ultimate's Eastern Conference.

The New Haven Register reports that Mazur starred with the New York Rumble this season, after a successful college career playing the sport at the University of Miami. Mazur praised his mother for helping him win the award.

“Being able to stand up after failing is something that I think she has taught me really well. Every time I’ve made a mistake and every time something has gone wrong, she has been able to pick me up off the ground,” Mazur told the newspaper. “Without her around it all wouldn’t mean that much.”
