GUILFORD, CT — The Guilford Police Department is currently accepting applications for an entry level police officer.
"We are looking for a team-oriented, community-focused, positive, and professional person to join our department to serve the Town of Guilford and to be a positive role model for the community," the GPD said in a social media post. "The career of a Guilford Police Officer involves integrity, dedication, compassion, fairness, leadership and yes... fun. At Guilford PD, you can expect a family-oriented environment where members care about each other as much as they care about the community."
The department offer multiple special assignments, including the South Central Regional SWAT Team, Regional Dive Team, School Resource Officer, Community Engagement Team, Regional Traffic Team, and a Peer Support Team.

"Our officers enjoy a tremendous amount of community support due to the fact that we go above and beyond for our residents, businesses and visitors," the GPD added.
The entry-level salary is $77,584, the department noted.
