Guilford Police Sergeant Receives Employee Recognition Award
The Guilford Employee Recognition award recognizes a city employee for outstanding achievement and performance in their work.

GUILFORD, CT – First Selectman Matt Hoey announced that Police Sergeant Jared Dillon has been named the Guilford Employee Recognition Award recipient.
Deputy Police Chief Sal Nesci, who nominated Dillon for the award, said Dillon has been with the Guilford Police Department since December 2014.
“As a well-rounded professional, Jared has focused his career on advancing the department’s purpose, mission, vision, goals and objectives,” Nesci said. “Jared is someone who can be relied upon. It is for these reasons and more that I fully endorse Sgt. Jared Dillon for an Employee Recognition Award.”

Hoey, who initiated the program, has encouraged all employees to nominate fellow employees to be recognized for outstanding achievement and performance in their work.
“During his career, Jared has taken on numerous collateral assignments, including field training office, accident reconstruction and training supervisor,” Nesci said. “Jared is a consummate professional who works tirelessly to deliver best-in-class service. As a supervisor, Jared has demonstrated that he knows and understands the importance of value.”

Nesci said Dillon has improved employee morale, motivation, productivity and performance and volunteers for assignments that contemporize workflows, making the organization as operationally efficient and effective as possible.
“As a modern law enforcement leader, Jared knows that there must be high professional standards,” Nesci said. “Jared acknowledges that our success is predicated on our leadership abilities, who well we treat the community, and how well we treat each other. Moreover, Jared is a proficient communicator who strives to build trust, rapport and strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.”
Dillon received an Employee Recognition Award certificate, a gift card, and an Apple Air Tag from First Selectman Hoey.
