Guilford Public Schools Calendar For 2024-25: Key Dates To Know

GUILFORD, CT — The end of summer is rapidly approaching for Guilford students. The first day of school in Guilford Public Schools is Tuesday, Sept. 3.

Here are some of the important 2024-25 school year dates to get on the calendar:

• Professional development days: Aug. 28-30
• Start date: Sept. 3
• Staff PLC, early dismissal for students only: Sept. 25; GHS, 12:30 p.m.; middle schools, 1:03 p.m.; elementary schools, 1:52 p.m.
• Rosh Hashanah, no school: Oct. 3
• Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples' Day, no school: Oct. 14
• Staff PLC, early dismissal for students only: Oct. 23; GHS, 12:30 p.m.; middle schools, 1:03 p.m.; elementary schools, 1:52 p.m.
• Professional development days, no school for students: Nov. 5
• Parent-teacher conferences, Guilford High School: Nov. 6-7
• Parent-teacher conferences, middle schools: Nov. 14-15
• Parent-teacher conferences, elementary schools: Nov. 18-19
• Thanksgiving break: Nov. 27-29
• Winter recess: Dec. 23 through Jan. 1
• Martin Luther King Jr. Day, no school: Monday, Jan. 20
