Guilford Resident To Appear On Gordon Ramsay's 'Next Level Chef' Show

GUILFORD, CT — One of Guilford's own will soon appear on the new season of Gordon Ramsay's "Next Level Chef" reality television show, which is set to premiere on Fox on Feb. 13 at 8 p.m..

Iléna Tovia, a Guilford resident also known as Momma Iléna to her 800,000 followers across TikTok, Instagram and Facebook, will compete with several other chefs on the show in unique cooking challenges for a chance to win $250,000 and a mentorship under three accomplished chefs, headlined of course, by Ramsay.

"Chef Gordon Ramsay scours the country for the very best line cooks, home chefs, social media stars, food truck owners and everything in between, all competing against one another with the goal of finding the food world's newest superstar," a description of the show on Hulu says. "Joined by two elite names in the food world, chefs Nyesha Arrington and Richard Blais, Ramsay and his co-mentors leave no stone unturned, as they each recruit a group of talented chefs and take them under their wings."

Tovia grew up in the entertainment industry doing commercials, television and film, but she left it all in order to start a family.

Inspired by her father, Tovia then decided to pursue her true passion of cooking.

Now a married mother of four, Tovia started her social media channels in 2021 and quickly gained a large following by posting entertaining videos and simple, yet delicious, recipes.

Tovia launched a cookbook last November titled, "We're Moms, Not Chefs: The Perfect Book for the Imperfect Cook."

"I grew up in a household where transforming leftovers and no food waste was imperative. Thanks to my mom and dad for teaching me basic cooking from a very early age and allowing me to be creative," Tovia says in the cookbook.

Ramsay is one of the most recognizable celebrity chefs in the world. Known for his intensity in the kitchen, he holds seven Michelin stars and has opened many successful restaurants around the globe.
