Guilford Resident Visits Firefighters Who Saved Her

Fire officials said on Feb. 16, around 6:52 p.m., Guilford Fire crews were dispatched for a person in cardiac arrest.

GUILFORD, CT – It was a heartwarming reunion for Guilford Fire Department crews when the person they saved decided to visit and thank them.

Fire officials said on Feb. 16, around 6:52 p.m., Guilford Fire crews were dispatched for a woman in cardiac arrest, identified as Donna Funeteral.

When fire crews arrived, they saw a bystander performing CPR on Funternal, fire officials said.

Fire officials said fire personnel took over and began advanced life support treatment, and while heading to Yale New Haven Hospital, Funternal regained a perfusing heartbeat and began breathing on her own.

On June 20, Funternal came to the firehouse to meet some of the crew responsible for her care on the evening on Feb. 16.
