Guilford Schools Prepping for Education Grant Cuts

GUILFORD--Although not as harsh as anticipated, Guilford public schools are still facing cuts in state funding.

The Guilford Courier reports that the latest state budget reflects a $52,580 reduction for Guilford's Education Cost Sharing Grant.

That's a significant difference from the previous state budget, that had cut $900K from Guilford's ECS grant, The Courier reports.

The town of Guilford receives an estimated $3.1 in Education Cost Sharing grant funding from the state, according to the report.
