Guilford Warns Residents Of Ongoing Scam Attempts
"We take your security seriously and are actively working to shut down these scams," the town said.

GUILFORD, CT — The town of Guilford is warning residents about recent scams targeting applicants to the Planning & Zoning Department.
According to an announcement, scammers are targeting individuals by impersonating the Planning & Zoning Department through fraudulent emails. The scammers are asking applicants to send additional fees for an application to be approved, the town says.
Guilford noted the town never asks for additional payments through wire transfer, and fees for any application are invoiced only through the online permitting system, Energov.
