Guilford's Load And Go Day To Have Mulch, Compost And Woodchips

GUILFORD, CT — Guilford’s Public Works department has mulch, compost and woodchips available for residents and businesses during a Load and Go Day.

Beginning on July 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., town of Guilford officials said public works employees will be at the public works department, 47 Driveway, on the first and third Thursday of every month.

Prices for the materials are $5 for a pickup truck or smaller trailer, $10 for a mason dump truck or larger dump trailer, $30 for a six-wheel dump truck and $50 for a triaxle dump truck.

Town officials said the Load and Go Day is only open to residents and Guilford businesses, and proof of residency is required. A form must be filled out before people use their equipment to load.

Town officials said supplies are limited.
