Head's-Up, Guilford (And Branford): Rt 146 Milling, Paving Dates Set
The 1.61-mile portion of the roadway set to be milled, paved is from Leetes Island Road to 0.03-miles east of the Branford town line.
BRANFORD/GUILFORD, CT — The towns of Branford and Guilford share the lovely, winding Route 146. Beginning in early July, the shoreline-hugging roadway is slated for milling and paving.
According to an announcement by the state Department of Transportation, the tentative start date for the Route 146 milling and paving project in both towns is July 7-18.
For both portions of this project, the work hours will be from 7 p.m. through 5 p.m. each night of work.

The project runs 1.61 miles from Leetes Island Road to 0.03-Mile East of the Branford town line.
The tentative start date for the milling portion of this project is scheduled to begin the night of Monday, July 7 and continue for approximately four nights of work ending the morning of Friday, July 11, DOT said.

The tentative start date for the paving portion of this project is scheduled to begin the night of Sunday, July 13 and continue for approximately five nights of work ending the morning of Friday, July 18.
Adjustments to this schedule will be necessary due to inclement weather.
