Jacobs Beach Closed For Swimming Monday, Tuesday

GUILFORD, CT – Town of Guilford officials have stated that Jacobs Beach remains closed for swimming.

The closing of the beach for swimming has been extended until Tuesday, July 25, due to high levels of bacteria.

However, town officials stated Lake Quonnipaug is open.

Town officials on July 22 shared on their Facebook page that Jacobs Beach would be closed for swimming g on July 22 and July 23.

The closure until July 25 makes it four days straight with high bacteria levels and the popular swimming spot.
